Lately I've been really trying to hone in on my niche in the design world. My degree definitely encouraged me to be all over the place -- learn at my own pace, develop my own projects, chose my own classes. The program was a digital media a-la-carte, but didn't have a lot of structure in regards to what food I was actually picking. So I learned animation and coding, I learned design, I even dabbled in sound design (it was never really my thing), and just as I was graduating, I feel like I was starting to narrow in on what aspects of those things I like.
So even though I just created a new snazzy portfolio, I'm working on a new one. Weebly has a pretty strong website building toolkit, but I need to go beyond that and create my own site from scratch. This portfolio will be a much more focused look at my projects, rather than categorically breaking each piece down, I'm going to rethink the whole way I've been organizing things, and hopefully come up with a more concentrated solution. One that really depicts the type of work I enjoy doing, and the type of work I intend to do in the future.
