Decisions decisions! I'm working in a lot of middle-tone colors... but it's a stormy scene so it's supposed to look muddled and dark so I'm not totally convinced it's a bad thing yet... but it definitely still needs work. I'm looking for a very illustrative interface. The story itself is illustrated with pen and ink and it's naturally scratchy and unclean looking, so I want to push that effect in the interface.
The "About" and "Credits" waves will be a spinning circular wave to create the rolling-ocean effect (see the image to the left). I'll be reusing the gull asset from the last Gull and His Guide mock-up, so he'll be a looping animation of a flying seagull. Rain effects will be reused too if I can find them and they don't slow the build down too much! I learned from last time that I need to take it easy on the effects, especially if I'm using AfterEffects loops. I may just try to create the effects in Unity for the rain and lightning.
